By the launch of the Apple iPad at the weekend, a number of applications for tablet computers were announced by companies, television networks, and software publishers.
Not least, the White House presidential office in Washington DC, United States, also launched the official website of the White House version of the mobile.
As quoted from page TG Daily, 5 April 2010, Dave Cole, director of new media, the White House announced the launch of the mobile version website of the White House on Sunday, April 4, 2010.
The launch was as deliberate as to conform with the moment of launch of the new tablet device from Apple. Of course this makes sense because now everyone in the world of technology is the focus of attention on the iPad.
In an official blog, Cole indicated that the new site called Apple as a site ready to be used for the iPad.
"The program Mobile.WhiteHouse.gov merely an attempt to make content sites (White House) is available in a variety of platforms," said Cole. "The reason, because technology is changing how and where people get information," he said.
Currently, users can visit the White House new mobile site via mobile.whitehouse.gov using mobile devices respectively.
